The UVA is a Concept Car designed by ENSAAMA School students Jean Hiss and Robin Apprioual for the Michelin Design Challenge.
Focused on giving the passengers a feeling of gliding through the air, this concept car uses a magnetic levitation suspension to make the ride as smooth as possible.
The car features a Photochromic Exterior with a tessellated pattern that can be changed from opaque to Transparent by choice.
On the opaque mode, the exterior design pattern controls the light intake to make the car interior partially or even completely covered.
On the transparent mode, the pattern disappears completely, leaving the entire body open to the outside, giving the passengers an unobstructed view of the surroundings.
Even though it’s painfully obvious that this car might never become a reality, still, it is one of those unique ideas that stay with you in your dreams.
