Commuting to work is a ritual that every human being follows all throughout their lives. It is often what sets the mood for the rest of the day.
But this mood can easily be ruined when you have to sit through rush hour traffic on a daily basis, with no place to go and no options for a detour either.
While most people who get stuck in conditions like this would rather play their music loud and drown out their sorrows, there are select few who decide they want to do something about it.
Aerospace engineer Dezso Molnar is one of these proactive people. He has always hated traffic and one day he just decided that he would use his considerable skills to create a solution for himself.
Inspired by the idea of a flying car and fueled by his disgust for rush hour traffic, Dezso, after lots of hard work in his garage, created his very own motorcycle-like gyrocopter.
This homemade gyrocopter features the body of a bike, with rides on a custom suspension and is powered by a massive engine tucked at the rear.
The engine propels the gyrocopter in the forward direction and the thrust generated by this motion is then used to spin the overhead rotors.
While the actual flight test of this invention is yet to take place, the engine has already been tested though, with impressive results.
The man behind the project will now focus on finalizing the design and mechanics, so that we soon would see the first flight of this DIY flying machine. We just have to wait and watch.
