A Dutch company called Neuromodulation Technologies B.V. has developed a device that will let you take control of your dreams while still sleeping.
This device is called Lucid Dreamer, and it is a smart device that works by detecting the Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep patterns of users.
By doing so, it can tell exactly when you start dreaming. Once it knows that, it then emits a weak electrical signal to alert your consciousness to the fact that you are dreaming.
All this happens while you’re still asleep, so that even though you become aware that you are dreaming, it doesn’t ruin your sleep, thus letting you complete your dream interactions with full control.
It is one of the first times when a device like this has been built for people who are sleeping, since most sleep related products are often geared towards helping others around you.
A great example of that would be the Anti Snoring Machine, which incidentally would be a great way of making sure the dreams you live through Lucid Dreamer aren’t disturbed by your spouse’s snoring.
Although at this current stage, it will still take you months before you could get your hands on this device, since it is still in the developmental phase.
What you can do though, is go to the Lucid Dreamer Kickstarter Page and pre-order the device for yourself, starting from just €297, with a tentative release time frame of early 2017.
It is a great starting price for a device that is literally promising to make all your dreams come true. We can’t wait to get our hands on it ourselves.
